Hi!  My name is Kristin Erdman and this is me. :)

I am from the good ol' state of Michigan.  I know it is not the fanciest of the states, but I must say that we have some pretty amazing lakes with some great views.

I am a senior in the Social Work program at SVSU.  I plan on going to get my masters after I graduate from undergrad and hope to work with adolescents in some way someday.  I chose social work because I really love people and I love talking to them and helping them in any way that I can.  I will be interning at the Boys and Girls club which is pretty exciting and I currently lead a Bible study for high school students which I love!  They teach me something new everytime we meet and I hope that maybe I do the same for them.

I have been blessed with the most amazing and supportive family that anyone could ever ask for.  Without their love and support I would not be able to go on this trip and I thank them for their constant support.  My brother and sister are two of my best friends and I am so very thankful for that.  My sister is there for me whenever I need her and is always there to offer me her thoughts and advice even when they are tough to hear.  My brother is such a great guy.  He makes me laugh all the time and makes me want to be a better person.

I have also been blessed with some of the greatest friends!  I have been lucky enough to still remain close to some of the people that I met in kindergarten and went to school with all the way until senior year of high school.  My friends have touched my life in many ways and have made me into the person that I am today.  I love having fun and doing random crazy things with them!

Music is one of my most favorite things in the world.  I love listening to it, playing it on the guitar,singing it, analyzing the lyrics, etc.  Without it, life would not be as colorful.  I love reading and words.  I think that words can be so powerful and I love how a certain sentence can just hit you and you can relate to it so well.  I really love taking pictures and drawing pictures and creating new things.  Starbucks is my guilty pleasure and I love drinking coffee and having deep, meaningful conversations with my friends.

I am so very excited to meet you all and am looking forward to this adventure that God has planned for us all.  I am excited to meet the people of South Africa and not only do I hope that I can share the gospel and the love of God with them, but I hope that they can teach me something new as well.  I will be praying for all of you as you prepare for this trip.
